Reputed industrialist and visionary educationalist of our country Eng M. A Rashid and former Principal of Vicarunnessa School, Dhaka, Mrs Hamida Ali envisioned the founding of South Point School and College (SPSC) in 2002. Since SPSC began its journey in 2002, it has grown to become a leading provider of high-quality education. Currently, 19,500 students are enrolled at different SPSC branches. There are six branches of SPSC located at Malibagh, Banani, Baridhara, Mirpur and Uttara. SPSC ensures quality education under National Curriculum in both Bangla and English version from Play Group to HSC, while the SPSC English medium, Banani, follows the Cambridge International Examination (CIE), UK, curriculum from PG up to A Level.

The students from SPSC (Banani) have been successfully bringing home various national and international laurels for last few years including Outstanding Cambridge Learners Award, the Daily Star Awards. Furthermore, the graduates from SPSC (Banani) have gone on achieving brilliant results and academic successes at internationally reputed universities at home and abroad. These students, attending top universities in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and Singapore, have achieved exceptional academic success while bringing honor to our nation through their talent and resilience.

With a stellar vision and grand aspiration, the idea of establishing South Point School and College was conceived in 2002. The School formally began its journey in 2003. Within a short span of time, the School has created an indelible footprint in the dissemination of quality education to the students. Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board had named South Point School and College as the ‘Best School’ in 2009 in recognition to its endeavor to provide outstanding education to the pupils. We believe not only in providing an excellent education, but also in inculcating an unflinching sense of patriotism and an unwavering humanitarian attitude among our students.
